Enerbrain’s Plug and Play solution achieves energy efficiency, carbon footprint reduction, and indoor comfort using AI logic.

Enerbrain has joined Ai4Cities Phase 2 with the aim to apply more advanced AI technologies to a solution that is already being used in cities across Europe. That has already produced some concrete results. In Turin, the solution was rolled out in 89 buildings, which generated 18% of energy savings, improved indoor air quality and led to a C02 reduction that was the equivalent of planting 100.000 trees.

Enerbrain’s solution consists of two parts. On one side, they add sensors to the buildings that are able to connect to the existing building management system and gather data. At the same time they also add sensors to detect information about temperature, humidity, consumption of energy, etc. They then process this data with a very powerful AI tool, able to connect with weather forecast, or forecast of consumption of energy in the next hour.

With this information Enerbrain can finetune the way the building behaves. The solution connects directly to the BMS, but also to the valves, boilers, and the different components of the system. All of the data gathered is then shared to the customers who can control the full ecosystem through easy to use mobile and web application.

Within Ai4Cities, Enerbrain is developing a new version of the platform, that allows it to connect the building with the ecosystem, with electric power supplies, renewables, weather forecasts, energy storage, electric vehicles, etc. This will create plug & play energy communities that can also integrate demand side management.
